What The Food is back for its 5th edition at Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz. Free to attend with no ticket needed for the main festival.
The two-day programme runs 31 October and 1 November. This year's theme is Khubz wa Milh (bread and salt), with almost 20 hands-on workshops, talks with Aline Kamakian, Mirna Bamieh and Nadir Nahdi, a film screening by Cinema Akil, live music from Sound of Adiga, and food pop-ups across the Avenue.
Workshops cover a lot of ground: bread-making with Subko, potstickers with Kelvin Cheung, tart therapy, matcha flavours and more. Kids' workshops include Halloween cookies, gimbap-making, ramen bowl building and a tote bag design session.
